Student Services

Benedictine is committed to ensuring that each student enjoys the greatest chance for academic, professional and personal success. The John O. Whiteman Success Center offers coaching, tutoring, mentoring, access to internships and other career preparation activities to help students achieve their academic and professional goals. Financial Aid representatives work with students and their families to exhaust all possible means of financial aid, including federal loans, need-based grants, academic scholarships and work-study options. The University is working to expand student housing options by leasing and renovating the former Alhambra Hotel.

Student Activities

Cheer on our athletic teams. Go rock climbing at the YMCA. Run for Student Senate and serve as the voice of the student body. Compete in intramural sports such as dodgeball, basketball, soccer, table tennis or chess. Get involved in community outreach and service projects. Join one of several social and academic clubs that provide opportunities to meet like-minded individuals. Unwind at the BenUnion with a little ping-pong and pool, or enjoy a variety of snacks and beverages at the BenU Café. Place what is learned in the classroom into action and serve the community. Enjoy downtown music festivals, dining and shopping. Create memories for a lifetime.

Community Outreach

BenU at Mesa students are encouraged to reach out to the community and get involved. Through service projects, community roundtables and mentorship programs, students put Benedictine values into action and learn how their ideas and energy can positively translate into a real and necessary impact on their community. Outreach programs supporting United Way of Mesa and Catholic Charities of Phoenix focus on local and regional issues and help our students establish lifelong habits of civic and community responsibility.

Parent Programs

Parent Programs offer a one-stop service for parents of Benedictine students, including responding to parent inquiries and providing information on a variety of issues to facilitate communication between parents and the University. Parents who are interested in forming a parent association should contact the University.
