Tuition and Fees

A Benedictine University education is one of the best financial investments a family will make, providing valuable returns throughout a student's lifetime. We are dedicated to helping students and their families make a private education affordable. We offer a variety of financial assistance packages including need-based grants; federal loans; work-study options; and student employment.

Benedictine University 2018-2019 Tuition and Fees

The Board of Trustees has approved 2018-2019 tuition and fees. In setting next year’s fees, University leadership worked diligently to review all available data regarding the students we serve throughout the BenU community. As a result, tuition increases will help support these major initiatives:

  • Increasing the number of full-time faculty over the next five years. For it is within the faculty – the purveyors of University knowledge, truth and community spirit – that we build a strong foundation for student success.

  • Increasing student scholarship funds. We want to ensure students who aspire to join the Benedictine community have the financial resources to be successful in their studies.

  • Continuing improvement of technology and facilities at all sites. Significant improvements have been made in recent years, but there are still more to address as we strive to provide our students with improved service and capacities.

Remaining competitive and sustainable in the constantly changing higher education environment requires the University to adjust our tuition and fees structure on an annual basis. Increased tuition and fees enable the University to reinvest in key areas so we may continue guiding minds and spirits to be successful not only as professionals, but also as positive contributors to society.

While we anticipate that our 2018-2019 tuition rates will remain highly competitive in comparison to other Catholic universities in our primary service areas, we will continue to work to make tuition affordable to all Benedictine University students.

All tuition and fees listed are subject to change and take effect June 1, 2018. For information regarding course related fees, please refer to the College that corresponds to the class.
