It is strongly recommended that you schedule a time to meet with a Transfer Counselor. Transfer Counselors will assist you throughout the transfer admission process, in addition to providing you with an unofficial evaluation of your current and future courses.
Benedictine University's admissions philosophy is to select students who will perform successfully in the University's academic programs and actively participate in University life. We offer a rolling admission into all of our traditional undergraduate programs, meaning applications are accepted and admission decisions are made throughout the year without deadline restrictions.
Students who do not meet the admission requirements are encouraged to contact the Enrollment Center to set up an appointment with one of our Transfer Counselors to discuss the Admission Committee review process.
Students transferring into Benedictine University's traditional undergraduate programs must have:
To establish English proficiency, international students may submit either ACT, SAT, TOEFL, or IELTS test scores.
Apply online or during your campus visit. Once you have applied and have sent your official transcripts, your transfer counselor will contact you regarding your admission decision.
Once you are admitted to Benedictine University, you will receive a phone call and email from your transfer admissions counselor as well as an official acceptance letter in the mail.
If you qualify for a transfer scholarship (based on cumulative GPA), you will be notified by your transfer counselor once your transfer credit evaluation is complete. A copy of your award letter will be sent to you via mail.
Upon acceptance, your file will be sent to our Transfer Credit Evaluators (TCE) for an official transfer evaluation. Transfer evaluations can take one to three weeks to be completed based on your credits. The evaluators may ask you for additional information such as course syllabi to make determinations. Once your transfer evaluation is complete, you will receive a copy via email.
File the 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and make sure to include Benedictine’s school code 001767. Once you have completed your FAFSA, our Office of Financial Aid will review your eligibility and mail you a Financial Aid Offer Letter. The offer will list the financial aid types and amounts you are eligible to receive.
If you have not yet completed a college level math course, you will need to take an online Math Placement Test before you can officially accept your admissions offer and register for classes. Once this step this complete, your file will be sent to our Advising Center.
Reach out to your transfer admissions counselor to officially accept your offer of admission!
Upon completing the mathematics placement test (if required), please choose a Transfer Tuesday event date to register for classes. From there, your academic advisor will contact you regarding next steps. If you cannot attend a Transfer Tuesday, please contact your admissions counselor to make alternate arrangements for registration.
Enjoy your first day of class!
