Week of Giving

April 26 - May 1, 2021

We are excited to announce that we are reinventing our annual one day of giving to be a WEEK OF GIVING! This change will allow us to highlight more than one University need.

Due to Covid-19, Benedictine University faced and overcame a mountain of challenges these past 12 months. With the support of so many of you, we met a goal set for our Mission Fund to help BenU students. However, during this time, funding for other critical needs has suffered and the need for our most impacted students has increased.

Because you want to know how your gifts are helping, below are the needs we will highlight each day.

Day 1, April 26 is FOR THE STUDENTS
We will focus on our scholarships and the Mission Fund. After a difficult year, we see an increase in requests by both new and returning students. With your support, you are helping BenU students remain in school and finish their degrees.

We will focus on support needed for the University’s colleges or departments of study. Your gift will provide resources to expand our academic programs which prepare BenU students to reach their goals.

Day 3, April 28 is FOR ATHLETICS
We will focus on Benedictine Athletics and our teams. It has been a challenging time for our athletes and coaches. With your support, you can play a vital role in their continued success.

We will focus on the University’s efforts to strengthen diversity, equity and inclusion. We will highlight our new program, The Belong Scholarship Program, which will support our underrepresented students.

Days 5 and 6, will be the WEEK OF GIVING WRAP UP
Help us meet these needs (or the designation of your choice) and surpass our goal of 400 donors. You can give one day or each day.

An anonymous alumnus has offered a $100,000 challenge gift in support of our Week of Giving. This challenge gift will match all gifts 1:1 with the matched proceeds designated to the Mission Fund. It is a wonderful opportunity to double the impact of your gift and help our students!

If you wish, you can be counted in NOW, as an early bird donor, using the link below. Remember, a gift of any amount is meaningful here.

Your commitment to Benedictine scholarships will have a lasting impact on today's students and help to ensure that they have the opportunity to pursue their education without undue financial struggle or incurring excessive debt.

Facilities and Student Life

Benedictine University has made significant investments in our facilities over the last few years, but we still need to do more. Advances in technology and lab facilities require updating of existing buildings and new facilities when too costly to modify existing structures

Mission Fund

Mission Fund will assist students who are on their way toward earning a degree but encounter a hardship during their time here. A family emergency or unexpected expense can derail a student and limit their educational opportunity. The Mission Fund will provide a safety net for students and ensure that they can continue with their education.
