Students should complete their FAFSA as soon as possible each year starting on October 1st. This free application serves as a gateway for all federal, state, and Benedictine University need-based financial assistance. Include Benedictine University's federal school code: 001767 so that the results of your FAFSA application will automatically be sent to the BU's Office of Financial Aid.
The federal verification process acts as a quality control measure; the U.S. Department of Education approximately selects 1 out of every 3 FAFSA applications to complete this process. Students required to complete the verification process will not receive any federal funds until the requested documents have been submitted and reviewed by the Office of Financial Aid.
